Meat and Fish

Meat and fish were considered high class foods back then. If there was meat or poultry on your dinner table, you were rich. The meats include: deer, duck, boar, geese, chicken, and cow. The meats were either served fresh or salted and preserved. Also, rubbed and covered with spices.  It is commonly served in ragouts and pottage. If they have leftovers, they cook  the meat into a pie.
Most of the people would go and hunt for their food and meat. Instead of eating all of the food in one sitting, they would save and preserve it for another meal that was soon to come. Sometimes they would have more than one type of animal at the dinner table.
